If you are one of the 11.84 lakh candidates who have applied for the HSSC Group D Recruitment 2023, you must be eagerly waiting for your admit card. The good news is that the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the exam city and intimation link for the HSSC Group D Exam 2023 on 10th October 2023. The admit card will be available on the official website, www.hssc.gov.in, from 18th October 2023 onwards.

The HSSC Group D Exam 2023 is scheduled to be held on 21st and 22nd October 2023 in online mode at various exam centers across 18 districts of Haryana. The exam will be conducted in two shifts per day, i.e., from 10:00 am to 11:45 am and from 03:00 pm to 04:45 pm. The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. What to Expect from HSSC Group D Exam 2023

The HSSC Group D Exam 2023 is a common eligibility test for various group D posts such as peon, beldar, animal attendant, helper, mali, chowkidar, cook, fieldman, workshop attendant, mechanical helper, water carrier, etc. The exam will be held online and will have a duration of one hour and 45 minutes. The exam will have a total of 100 questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

The questions will be of matriculation level and will test your basic knowledge and skills. To prepare well for the exam, you should revise the topics covered in the syllabus and practice mock tests and previous year papers. You should also keep yourself updated with the current affairs and general knowledge.

The selection process for the HSSC Group D posts will also include socio-economic criteria, which will carry 10 marks. The criteria are as follows:

  • If neither the applicant nor any person from among the applicant’s family viz father, mother, spouse, brother, and Son is, was or has been a regular employee in any Department/Board/Corporation/Company/Statutory Body/Commission/Authority of Government of Haryana or any other State Government or Government of India. (5 marks)
  • If the applicant is: (i) a widow; or (ii) the first or the second child and his father had died before attaining the age of 42 years: or (iii) the first or the second child and his father had died before the applicant had attained the age of 15 years. (5 marks)
  • If the applicant belongs to such a denotified tribe (Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or Nomadic tribe of the State of Haryana which is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class. (5 marks)
  • Experience: One-half (=0.5) mark for each year or part thereof exceeding six months of experience, out of a maximum of sixteen years, on the same or a higher post in any Department/Board/Corporation/Company/Statutory Body/Commission/Authority of Government of Haryana. No marks shall be awarded for any period less than six months. (A maximum of 8 marks)

The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the common eligibility test and socio-economic criteria.
